Shadow of The Witte Wieven By Debbie Peterson

Shadow of The Witte Wieven

REVIEW:

This book was absolutely enjoyable to read. It was an interesting take on time travel within the Bermuda Triangle. I like how Aliyana was a kick butt girl and that she wasn’t your usual fragile damsel in distress. And even though she can take care of herself, after meeting Wolf and his crew she comes to rely on them. Wolf and his crew were really fun characters and I liked how they helped with their “Ghostly Abilities”. I like the relationship between Alyiana and Wolf. It had a good start and the pace if it growing was perfect. The book was a real page turner. I didn’t want to put down. I wanted to know what will happen next. During the stage of investigating Mercado and the Cartel, the author had set a good pace in gathering Intel, not making it to long or short. The book was a delightful read and I thought the ending was really delightful and really cute. It was definitely worth reading!! ^-^

REVIEW:

Do you like books that have a houseful of ghosts with varying personalities? Where the heroine is clever and strong spirited in character? Do you like a ghostly hero that is chivalrous in nature and comes to the rescue? Where the Hero and Heroine go on this adventure to discover the truth to an old set up that occurred many years ago? And a story that ends with an Happily Ever After? If your answer is YES then you will really enjoy reading this book!!
I really enjoyed the book and wished I was able to read it beginning to end without any disruptions. I didn’t want to put it down at all and those are the kind of books I especially love to read. I loved how the author blended Norse mythology into the story to make the heroine understand what occurred all those years ago. And how she unravels it a little at a time to show you what happened. I liked the bit of History she integrated into the story to give you an idea of the battles fought at that place in Tennessee. I enjoyed the ghostly side characters and the fun the brought to the story. I really loved the romance between Shae and Tristan and the way you discover how their love started. And though their romance started a little rocky at first, I like how they cleared misunderstandings and came to rely and get to know each other. That turned them into an extraordinary, romantic couple.
The book, though targeted for adults, is great for all ages. It is a really fantastic, fun paranormal romance to read. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys unique paranormal romances.

Savage Awakening (Alpha Pack #2) By J.D. Tyler

Savage Awakening (Alpha Pack, #2)

RATING:

4 Out Of 5 Stars

REVIEW:

I really enjoyed J.D. Tyler’s take on shifters. This is the first one I have read in the series and I thought Aric and Rowan’s story was really interesting to read. It was fast paced and in the shifters Alpha pack was well written. She is a kick-butt cop and he is a sarcastic, life of the party type of guy. I liked how their relationship developed and that they got to know each other a little bit and how they both were attracted to each from the start. I like how the author written how the mating bond for the shifters work. It was different in comparison to some of the other books I have read. The only thing I didn’t care for was the graphic sexual content and the bad language. There isn’t many books now a days that don’t have it and I don’t mind it, but the sexual situations involved were a bit to graphic for my tastes. But other then that it an enjoyable book to read.
Though there were a lot of fun characters that I would love to see what love interest would bring them to their knees, the one that caught my interest was Kalen and Mac’s story. I am looking forward to see how their story turns out. Though they weren’t mentioned a lot other then a page here and there they really drew my attention. It seems like they would have an interesting story, especially after reading the sneak peek they had at the end of the book. I may be tempted to read it and just hope that the sexual content and language isn’t too bad.

Once Burned (Night Prince #1) By Jeaniene Frost

Once Burned (Night Prince, #1)

RATING:

5 Out Of 5 Stars

REVIEW:

Ahhh. I can’t wait until next spring!!!! I really love the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost. And I enjoyed reading the other books involving the side characters in the series. So I was really looking forward to when Vlad’s story came out. And I wasn’t disappointed other then the fact that it left me hanging and now I have to wait until next spring for the sequel.
Vlad’s and Leila’s story was told from Leila’s point of view like the Night Huntress series was told from Cat’s point of view. Though I was kind-of hoping it would be from both Vlad’s and Leila’s point of view, I still really enjoyed it. I like reading more about Vlad’s history and I liked how Ms. Frost portrayed his character. Leila was an interesting character and fits in with the kick-butt girls of Ms. Frost’s vampire books heroines. I thought Leila had interesting abilities and very curious how she was able to obtain them do to that incident that occurred when she was younger, if they powers she originally had that was just jump started with the power cable or if something else occurred during it that we get to look forward to in the sequel.
I liked the pace of Vlad’s and Leila’s relationship and how they got to know each other and were able to talk about their pasts. And I am looking forward to how their relationship develops. I am looking forward to next spring and any other books in the vampire series!!!

Cowboy Sam’s Quadruplets (Callahan Cowboys #5) By Tina Leonard

Cowboy Sam's Quadruplets

RATING:

4 Out Of 5 Stars

REVIEW:

I really enjoyed this story. I was really cute and a real page turner. As you read the book you find out that it was love at first sight for both Sam and Seton. It was real interesting to see how their relationship develops from start to end of the book. I liked how Seton, a private investigator, searches for answers to Sam’s families past and how she doesn’t give up no matter what. I enjoyed how Sam, who at first didn’t want any children, grows with each stage in Seton’s pregnancy of Quadruplets, then the delivery, and then fatherhood. I thought the story was a real fun read and one I will read again in the future.

I really liked Violet’s character. She is quite clever and witty. She yearns for adventure, but figured she would have to eventually settle for a an average English husband. I liked how much she loves her family and is very protective of them and would do anything for them, even sail across the wide expanse of ocean to look for her brother and make sure he is safe. I enjoyed to see her grow and learn new abilities that she didn’t have throughout this adventure.

Asher is a respectable man. He takes good care of his crew. He has an uncanny way of looking through a person and guesses what they need. You find out that he really helped a couple men of in his crew out of tough situations. And that he keeps the things that are important to him close at hand.

I loved Asher and Violet story. I liked how at the beginning they kept each other on there toes. And I liked how they got to know each other and developed there feelings for each other. I liked that they each done something to show each other there love for them. I really enjoyed this book and will probably read it again later on!!

The Billionaire Wins the Game (Billionaire Bachelors #1) By Melody Anne

The Billionaire Wins the Game

REVIEW:

Amy Harper just got the dream job she wanted right out of college. She got a job working for Lucas Anderson as an executive secretary. With this job she is one step closer to her future plan. But what she wasn’t expecting after meeting her boss was being really attracted to him…
Lucas Anderson just received the reins as the head of his father, Joseph, company after his retirement. After his current executive secretary, Esther, who was his dads as well, told him she was retiring he told her he still needed her and thought she was going to continue for a while longer. But after Amy appears and sees Esther training her, he learns that she is still going to retire and the his dad hired him a new executive secretary. But what he wasn’t expecting to be attracted to his new executive secretary…
But what they don’t know that its Joseph’s plan to start getting his sons married. Because what Joseph really wants his to have his house filled with grandchildren and Lucas is the first one he gets started with…

It was really a fun book to read. Amy didn’t really have the ideal mom when she was younger and when her mom passed away when she was a young girl, she went into foster care. She hates to rely on anyone and likes to take care of herself. But as you read along you see how Amy learns to rely on others especially the Anderson Family and Tom, one of the Anderson employees.
Lucas is wary of women. The women he has dated has turned out to be with him for his money, power, or status. So he believes all woman are the same. But you see him learn to realize that all woman are not the same after he gets to know Amy.
What really made it fun was Lucas’ dad Joseph. I thought it was funny how he is so fed up with all his sons and how long they were taking to get married and have children of their own that he decides to play match maker starting with Lucas. Though the other two of his sons were briefly mentioned, I am looking forward in reading their stories and see how Joseph plans to get them set up.

The Wolf Who Loved Me (Westfield Wolves #5) By Lydia Dare

The Wolf Who Loved Me (Westfield Wolves #5)

RATING:

4 Out Of 5 Stars

REVIEW:

Weston Hadley has been in love with Lady Madeline Hayburn from the moment he met her. But he never got to close because, he thought he was really beneath her by not having a title, a high status, or money. So he loved her afar believing that was good enough until a twist of fate had Madeline discovering one of secrets that changed everything…
During a house party that Madeline’s father threw to help her find a husband, Madeline goes in search of Weston to get him to tell her information about one of her suitors, when she spots him by the stables. As she goes out to meet him she waits by the door, when he walks out naked in the light of the full moon she witnesses him changing into a wolf… After that everything changes and she finds herself abducted and on her way to Gretna Green to be married…

I really liked Weston’s character. I liked how he was in love with Madeline from the moment he met her and only wanted her to be happy, because he never thought he had a chance with her. I liked how he tried his best to make sure she was taken care of and how he made sure she was safe. He showed respect and remorse for his actions.

Madeline’s character was different. You can tell she was raised really strictly and never had one hair out of place. I liked how during the journey to Gretna Green she starts to grow. When she jumps to a conclusion and makes a mistake in leaving, you read how she learns from that mistake and tries her hardest to make it right.

This is the first back I have read of Lydia Dare’s Wolf series. So I have probably read them out of order, but it doesn’t effect the story at all. When some of the other characters were mentioned I did want to read their stories. Especially Weston’s single brothers. I am curious what kind of lady will bring them to the knees and curious to see if one them has met there match in this book as well. So I am looking forward in reading more books in the series.
There were somethings that happened during the book that were never discussed or resolved in my opinion. I did wish that some of the issues were brought to light and discussed, but in no way harmed Weston’s and Madeline’s story.

The Greek Boss’s Bride (Greek Tycoons) (Harlequin Presents, #2631) By Chantelle Shaw

The Greek Boss's Bride (Greek Tycoons) (Harlequin Presents, #2631)

RATING:

4 Out Of 5 Stars

REVIEW:

I really enjoyed this book, it was one of those that I could have kept reading without putting it down. I loved the relationship between Kezia and Nik. I liked the banter they had between them. I liked how they first met and how there relationship develops as the story goes on. There was difficulties that they had overcome in the end to be together, that really defined there relationship. I really enjoyed how in this Harlequin that they didn’t have the Hero and Heroine against falling in love like a lot of the other ones I have read. All in all it was a enjoyable read, and one I will probably read again in the future.

The Nanny and the Boss’s Twins By Barbara McMahon

The Nanny and the Boss's Twins

REVIEW:

Stacey and her sister are the owner’s of Vacation Nannies. On Stacey’s next nanny job she is hired to go to Spain with Luis and his adorable twin boys Juan and Pablo, do to their nanny having a fear of flying. She really loves her job of taking care of children and traveling. Now that she is almost 30, she starts thinking about her future of having a husband and children of her own…
Luis is a widower of six years, his wife dying during child birth. After her death he got a nanny to take care of his twins and threw himself into his business and works all the time. He has no future ideas of love or getting married again. Since it was hard for him to loose his wife when they were both still young…
But at his grandmother’s home in Spain for her upcoming birthday Luis and Stacey start developing feelings during the time they spent together with the children (which Stacey comes to really care about) and Luis’s family, sightseeing, fiesta, and etc, that they are trying to sort out. But with Luis’s aversion to ever fall in love and remarry it gets difficult to give into them…

I thought Stacey was a strong character that really cares about family. Especially since for along time she only has had her sister. I liked how she was determine to make a future with the things she loves doing, taking care of children and traveling. I like how she was able to help Luis start thinking about what is important.

Luis is a lot alike other hero’s in other books I read, but also a little different in his own way. He was a little slow to determine his feelings and doesn’t discover them until the heroine leaves. I did like how Luis’s character started to grow. How he discovered how much he has missed of his boys life and starts to make amendments to his work schedule to be there for each of there great memories. I also like how he figures out he had some sort of feelings for Stacey and he sorts them out as he goes along.

Luis’s Grandmother was a fun character. She has a very warm fondest for her family and wants them all to be happy. And when Stacey arrives with Luis and his boys she tries to play matchmaker…
